And if that’s the case, they knowingly lied to keep drawing in/retaining people with that promise of PVE, and that would be as good of a case for a class action lawsuit that I could think of. I promise you everything I own that this wasn’t just some recent decision, and that they probably knew the PVE wasn’t happening for ALOOOONG time now (There have been red flags for awhile now)…. People stuck with OW2, and many spent money and supported the games awful monitization because of that promise that PVE was coming… and now they’re just saying “It wasn’t working out… oh well”? Nah, fuck that.
They continued hyping and promising the PVE in OW2, even after the awful launch and issue. Also “free” is being a bit disingenuous, as many people have spent money on this game after being drawn in with the promise of future PVE. Keep in mind that the PVE is literally the ENTIRE reason this “sequel” exists, and without it there’s literally no reason for them to have killed OW1 (Which was better in practically every regard, from gameplay with 6v6 and monitization).

Maybe if the content amount and/or quality steps up hugely from now on, but I somehow doubt that.Īlso, while the game is supposed to be doing fine statistically, the amount of leavers in matches seems to have increased to an exponential degree for me going for dailies I've had days in the last few weeks where almost every match was literally unplayable as an actual game because one or the other team never had a full squad, as well as even more swingy insane skill discrepancies than usual because the matchmaking seems to open up a lot when replacing leavers. In a cooperative-survival setting, PH is one of the most popular maps amongst them that tests the teamwork and skill of 5 players by pitting them together against hordes of zerg enemies with unique traits and abilities during multiple types of objectives.Yeah I think this is the last straw for my attachment to this game, between them making it clear free players basically get fuck-all (I've cleared every free pass since release except the current one and got almost nothing except the new heroes, which it was fucking awful to lock behind any grinding anyway and already a borderline game-killer for me) and slowly killing the competitive scene with greed, the potential for PvE is basically the only hope I was latching on to, and I've already confined myself purely to doing dailies at this point.
